Ipsa Silver Pendant with Gold Inlay — Korean Metal-Thread Inlay
$525.00
A silver pendant patterned in ipsa gold inlay — the Goryeo-era technique of hammering precious-metal thread into a hand-scored metal ground.
Where most jewelry is cast or stamped, ipsa is built line by line: the silver is cross-hatched by hand, and fine gold is tapped into the scoring until it fuses with the surface. The pattern here draws on the traditional mun (lattice and character) motifs of Korean metalwork. From a studio working in Korea's national-heritage ipsa tradition.
