A compact two-tier najeon jewelry box by Park In-ho, its "rainbow" name taken from the shifting color of natural mother-of-pearl set into black lacquer.
Park In-ho is a trained successor in Korea's national lacquer-master (Chiljang) lineage and a Grand Prize winner at the National Traditional Crafts Exhibition. This smaller piece carries the same technique as his large chests — shell cut and set by hand, then lacquered and polished flush — at a size made for a dresser: rings and earrings above, larger pieces below.
