Joseon white porcelain (baekja) was the court's own ware: a soft, milky white, never stark, prized for restraint over ornament. Seo Gwang-su has spent five decades on its glaze and body at Icheon, the center of Korean porcelain. The full set covers the Korean leaf-tea ritual end to end — pot, cooling pitcher, waste-water bowl, tea caddy and five cups — boxed in paulownia.
