Mori Ginki Silver Gyokuhai Ume-Ichirin

Mori Ginki Pure Silver Gyokuhai "Ume-Ichirin" White Plum Sake Cup

$1,529.00

A plum-blossom-shaped sake cup raised in pure silver by a certified traditional craftsman at Mori Ginki: fill it with sake and a single white plum flower appears inside a full moon.

"Ichirin" means both a single flower and the full moon, and the plum, the first blossom of spring, stands for long life and beauty. Mori Ginki's gyokuhai cups are known for hammered interiors that catch the light once sake is poured. This cup is raised by tankin, the hammer-forming technique at the heart of Tokyo Ginki, a designated national traditional craft since 1979. "Ume-ichirin" and "gyokuhai" are Mori Ginki trademarks.
