Namiki Yukari Collection Maki-e Fountain Pen — "Turtle" (FN-30M-KMM)
Namiki's Yukari Collection "Turtle" — raised togidashi taka maki-e with mother-of-pearl, on a full-size urushi pen. Brand new, Japanese-market stock, medium nib. Currently sold out at US dealers.
Namiki is Pilot's maki-e house, where lacquer artists of the Kokkokai guild decorate each pen by hand over many months. The Yukari Collection is the core of the line: classic Japanese motifs worked in layered lacquer, gold powder and shell, sized for daily writing rather than the display case. The turtle — a symbol of long life — is built up in relief maki-e, then polished back (togidashi) so the motif sits in a deep, glassy ground. Every pen is signed by its artist.
